So this year our friend Leslie was going to make stockings with her mom and I loved that idea since our stockings are UNC, that was given to Ryan as a joke the first Christmas we had together when we were dating...and a Gonzaga one. Not exactly very festive for the holiday and Starsky didn't have one. On the day Leslie went to her mom's to do the stockings I couldn't make it so I cut the outline of the stockings and then Leslie gave them to her mom to sew for us. They look so great I can't wait for Santa to come and leave all sorts of goodies. I couldn't find anything cute and festive to hang the stockings on so they're on a mirror that we usually hang our coats on but they turned out so great! I'm so glad that Laura was kind enough to put these together for us.
Starsky's is in the middle and those spots are supposed be to little black dog paws. Still not sure which stocking is going to be Ryan's or mine.
Today my friend Katie came over and helped make some sugar cookies with me and here are a few of them. Luckily our double batch didn't make as many as expected so I won't be pigging out of them too much. :)
We aren't doing anything too exciting for the holidays. Unfortunately I have to work on Christmas so we're going to spend time with my parents in Farmington for Christmas eve and hopefully they won't call me in to work on Christmas so I can spend the day with Ryan's family. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

♥ Honeymoon Time ♥
Since Ryan and I got married when I was still in school we weren't able to take the honeymoon we really wanted and then decided we were going to wait until this spring to go and now Ryan and I finally booked our trip to Orlando! We'll be going in the middle of march and I'm SOO excited. First order of business when we get there is to go to "the wizarding world of harry potter" where i'll try butter beer and buy a wand from Ollivanders Wand Shop where somehow....the wand chooses you. Just like the book! I can't wait! Ryan's not the greatest Harry Potter fan....really not at all. I don't think he's watched a full Harry Potter movie so I'll be working on him the next few months to watch the movies so he can fully appreciate Harry Potter land hahaha.
Here's a cool picture I liked of Harry Potter land.
And one day we'll make a trip out to the Kennedy Space Center but those are our only two concrete plans for the moment. I realized after we booked the trip that we'll be there over St. Patty's day so I'm going to have to look up and see if they're doing anything fun for the holiday. A few of the people I work with have been to disney world and have a book about different things to do that they're going to let me borrow so I'm sure we'll come up with way to many things to fit into the week that we're there. :)
I hope everybody has a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Time
So Ryan and I decided to upgrade to a slightly larger Christmas tree this year and I do love it. Our place is so so tiny that we don't have a lot of extra space to put Christmas decorations so the larger tree does make it feel a little more festive in here.
And I doubt that there will be many more present under our tree since Ryan and I NEVER make it to christmas to open our presents. Last year we came close and opened them I think the week OF Christmas and we'll probably open presents we got for each other tonight if his present arrives today. It says "In transit" on UPS so I'm hoping :) And since we were in the Christmas spirit and our tradition is not to open presents we buy for each other on christmas....we thought we'd give Starsky his present early. We got him a nice new big dog bed!! He has two beds...one in our bedroom and one in the living room. The one in the bedroom is super super flat and does not look comfy and he's slept on it for 2 1/2 years so we upgraded him. Costco had memory foam dog beds so we had to do it. Here's a few pictures of him. Sorry for the quality....took these on my phone. And don't mind the mess in the background of one of these!
Unfortunately....the place his dog bed usually goes is now where our christmas tree is....and he still prefers the couch to this nice bed....go figure. He loved it when we first got it and now he wants the couch. So we'll be working on him!

Phone Apps
So Sunday Ryan realized that there is an app you sync to our tv so that you can control the tv from your phone....and from anywhere. DISLIKE! Yesterday Ryan paused the tv while he was at work...changed the channel to the OWN (oprah's network) channel which i didn't even think we had, he changed it to My Little Pony and wrestling. And he can see what I'm watching and see that I spend a big chunk of my days' off watching tv because I don't know what else to do lol. Dislike again! Ryan thinks it's pretty amusing so hopefully the fun wears off on this app soon!

Oregon Trip
So JaNae found out about our trip to Oregon and started bugging me to actually use my blog and post on it. So even though I didn't take pictures of everything we did because I wasn't expecting to post on it, I'm going to do what I can :) So Ryan and I went on a trip with a couple of friends, Katie and Mike to the Oregon Coast a couple of weeks ago. Ryan and I were super excited and our trip started on a thursday at six in the morning. Super early! And our first touristy thing for the trip was stopping in McMinville, OR to go to the flight museum and see the Spruce Goose, something Ryan has always wanted to go and see. We got a 2 hour head start on our trip and were still there looking at the planes and everything else by the time Katie and Mike showed up. I still can not believe the size of the Spruce Goose. Ridiculous!
Ryan and I loved that the drive up to the museum was like a runway at an airport. :)
I still can't believe the size of this airplane. Absolutely HUGE!! And I think that's me in the middle of the bottom picture haha. We finally got to the coast where we stayed in these nice little Chalets that had access to a private beach which was pretty cool.
Our view from our parking lot. I forgot how much I love seeing the Ocean. Our first actual day there we went to Newport and shopped around a lot and then ended our day at Rogue brewery where they have the best pumpkin beer ever! My new favorite. And so far I haven't found any in Lewiston which is unfortunate.
But it was a lot of fun hanging out there and then we decided to have a fire on the beach that night which was a ton of fun. The tide was low and we were the only ones on the beach and I wish I would've gotten some pictures but unfortunately I wasn't in the blogging frame of mind and didn't but I wish that is something we could do all the time. The next day we went to Lincoln City and hit the Outlet mall where I found some good finds and Ryan and I bought a Kite that day to take out. We didn't end up flying our kite but we all did end up going back to a Rogue bar in Newport, not the brewery but fully stocked with Rogue beers where we found out Saturday is Trivia night at the bar! We decided to leave, eat, and go back that night to play trivia where we had a blast and played until close to midnight that night. We ended up winning six dollars back to use towards our tab which didn't help out a lot but that's ok.
These were a few pictures outside of the Rogue Brewery. Unfortunately when Ryan and I actually got to fly our kite on Sunday I didn't get any decent pictures because I wasn't thinking. On our way home Monday Ryan and I wanted to go to the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Tillamook, OR where we started our morning with cheese, ice cream and breakfast. On our drive home we decided we wanted to take a small detour on this road that drove past some waterfalls and it was a lot of fun.
Here are pictures of the three waterfalls we were able to see.
Multnomah Falls

Trying this again :)
So Ryan and I decided we wanted to start blogging and attempted it but I didn't know of anything cool that was happening that we could write about. We don't have a house we're remodeling or have kiddo's to write updates on but thought we could write about the little things we do. As you all know I'm working at St. Joseph's in Lewiston as a Peds nurse. Even though the Peds unit has been open once on the days I actually work I still enjoy actually being able to work now! :) Ryan's busy now with harvest and started overtime last week and it's definitely going to be a late harvest this year. I still don't think anyone has started harvesting yet so they're pretty slammed trying to get everything ready on time. Starsky is of course as spoiled as ever and definitely adds a lot of entertainment to our lives. I'll try to do a better job at taking pictures and updating this.
